SharePoint Integration with Azure Rights Management

Barnet and Southgate College Students

Barnet and Southgate College wanted to enable their staff to use the on-premise SharePoint from outside the college network, but needed to ensure that sensitive documents were secured at all times. Fuse integrated the SharePoint platform we built for the college with Azure Information Rights Management services, to ensure documents in SharePoint libraries retained their security settings even if they were copied/saved/emailed outside of SharePoint.

As no changes are made to the documents within SharePoint, securing documents with  the solution is as simple as ticking a box at the library level. And integration with the Microsoft Office Suite (including Outlook) and Windows means using the solution is very easy.

Furthermore, the syncronisation of the college Active Directory with Azure Active Directory means documents can also be securely shared with partners, such as other colleges and employers.
