With Microsoft support for Windows 7 finally coming to end this week, there will still be many companies facing a difficult situation - continuing to run the applications they need to support their business, on an operating system that no longer has regular security updates.

More recently, it extended this enterprise programme (where customers pay Microsoft directly through their enterprise agreements) to the Cloud Solution Provider programme - which makes purchasing extended security updates for Windows 7 far more accessible to small and medium sized companies.
